Problem description: I want to be able to use my internal laptop screen at a resolution of 1280x1024, but I can't since 6.7.194. I use the line Modes "1400x1050" "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" "320x200" in each "Display" subsection in the "Screen" section of my xorg.conf. In 6.7.193 I can use all these modes on my LVDS with xrandr, but in 6.7.194 xrandr only shows "1400x1050" "1024x768" "800x600" and "640x480". If I remove the "Modes" from xorg.conf, 6.7.193 starts behaving the same as 6.7.194, only allowing "1400x1050" "1024x768" "800x600" and "640x480". My goal Have the "1280x1024" mode available for my LVDS again. Reverting back to the 6.7.193 behaviour would fix the problem, in my perspective. Even better would be, of course, if I could use this mode without having to define it in xorg.conf :-) I'm attaching my xorg.conf, and xrandr --verbose output, and Xog.0.log for both 6.7.193 and 6.7.194.
Created attachment 11759 [details] xorg.conf
Created attachment 11760 [details] xorg-log with 6.7.193
Created attachment 11761 [details] xrandr --verbose output for 6.7.193
Created attachment 11762 [details] xorg-log with 6.7.194_1
Created attachment 11763 [details] xrandr --verbose output for 6.7.194_1
should be fixed in ati git.
Seems to be fixed allright! I can use 1280x1024 again :-) I still have to define additional modes in xorg.conf to be able to select 1280x1024 (and320x200, for what it's worth). Without additional Modes in xorg.conf, I can select 1400x1050, 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480. Thanks!

Without additional Modes in > xorg.conf, I can select 1400x1050, 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480. Right. I don't think 1280x1024 is an "official" vesa mode, so the server doesn't try and add it.
