Description Adam Petaccia 2007-10-03 10:16:49 UTC
Using nouveau from 9.30, X fails to start, with my monitor displaying "Input Not Supported", and the regular text terminal is corrupted. Even w/o the option, nouveau is not able to start, but the nvidia driver is able to if I build it again.

This is strange, for a few days (up to 28 september) crtc's (kind of a router for screens) were forced to a specific number. The problem is that for some reason CRTC1 is picked as first one, the hardware won't allow this and the infrastructure doesn't allow me to block this. then come back up. Are you sure your date is not older than 30 september? Please retry current git and if it's still problematic,

Wow, you're good. I'd messed up building from git the second time (issues with git fetch vs git pull). Anyway, after PULLing the latest sources and rebuilding, the problem has gone away. Thanks you, and sorry for wasting your time.

I guess I'll go ahead and mark it as fixed, because you've already fixed it ;-)

git fetch is the best way, perhaps you need to git rebase origin after it?

Sorry for the distorted message, a part that should have been at end, ended up in the middle.

Mass version move, cvs -> git
