Trying to get Acrobat Reader 7.0.9 to run on HP-UX 11.11 PA-RISC workstation using X-Windows and mwm (have not attempted CDE).

Got the following when trying to run acroread...

Error: Cairo 1.4.10 does not yet support the requested image format:
        Depth: 8
        Alpha mask: 0x00000000
        Red   mask: 0x00000000
        Green mask: 0x00000000
        Blue  mask: 0x00000000

With the pseudocolor work by Carl and Behdad, cairo will quite acceptably run on 8bit Xservers.
