When starting tremulous 1.1.0-4 on Ubuntu 7.10, join or create a game. As soon as the loading process is finished and the game should start, X hangs and accepts no input anymore. Ctrl-alt-backspace does not work. The machine still responds over SSH. I've tried using the git version and version 7.3+7ubuntu2 of the drivers. glxinfo reports that direct rendering is enabled and glxgears works fine.

Hi, attaching my x server crash logs here.. It happened to me on Ubuntu x86_64 consistently and on openSUSE11 x86_64 intermittently. Tested on Jan20 Git build. R300. Let me know if you need any info in this regard. Thanks, Chandra K.
Reassigning to DRI as it's a DRI gl driver issue.
Actually, this could be related to the memory use-after-free problems which were fixed in the Mesa r300 driver recently.
Can you reproduce the bug with current mesa_7_6_branch or mesa_7_7_branch?
r300c was removed. Closing.
