Description Tobias Ussing 2008-01-09 15:27:33 UTC
Currently on my r500 when enabling my TV the TV gets assigned xinerama screen 1, and the crt is assigned xinerama screen 2. This means most menus and windows are launched on the tv, instead of the CRT.

I've tried a lot of stuff in xorg.conf(setting screen 0, etc), but to no avail(i expect because of the change to using randr instead of the xorg.xonf for much of hte setup)
In the radeonhd driver there is:

Option "RROutputOrder" "<monitor_name>"

Which is very usefull, though not implemented in the normal radeon driver.

I would like to second the request for an option like radeonhd's RROutputOrder.

I have to use the radeon driver due to problems with radeonhd and a specific projector, but I miss the ability to tell X that the external flatscreen is the primary when the laptop is docked.

xrandr 1.3 offers a 'primary' option to select what output is considered primary.
