Description Richard Van Den Boom 2008-03-27 03:28:12 UTC
Hi!
I'm using Okular to view PDFs on a KDE4, Slackware-current system. My poppler version is not exactly the most recent (6.4) and it's compiled with gcc 4.2.3. The same goes for Qt4 and KDE4.
Rendering works fine and looks very good (congratulations for this) but showing all pages takes several minutes, while it's almost instantaneous using Acrobat Reader on the same system.
These PDFs include large images with high resolution, but I don't see why it would be such an issue.
Attached is one of the file : it's quite big (70MB).
Best regards,

OK, attachment limited to 1MB : can't go anywhere with that.
You can download the document here :

Can you retest on a newer poppler? Here it takes around 1.5 seconds per page that is more or less what Adobe Reader takes

I had a bit forgotten about this, sorry about that.
I just rechecked with poppler-0.10.7 and indeed the rendering performance is very good.
Well, this can be closed I guess.
Thanks for the great work!
