Bug forwarded from Evince: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=528262 "Please describe the problem: I came about this (potentially disastrous) bug as I was recently completing my taxes using the IRS's PDF tax forms. I completed my 1040 using Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 in Windows Vista and saved it to my hard drive. Later, when I went to print them from Evince (under Ubuntu), I noticed that many of my radio fields (they appear as check marks in the IRS's forms) had been altered. No matter what I selected for a series of checkboxes when I was filling the form out, Evince always displayed a check mark in the first box of the series of radio fields regardless of the one that I had selected and saved. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 (Windows or Linux). 2. On page 1, under "Filing Status," select the 2nd ("married filing jointly") or 3rd option ("married filing separately"). 3. Save the document and exit Adobe Acrobat Reader 8. 4. Open the document with Evince. 5. The same procedure can be repeated for any series of radio fields (again, they appear as checkboxes in the IRS forms). Actual results: Instead of the selection for filing status that was saved with the document (2nd or 3rd option), the 1st option ("single") is checked. Expected results: The option that was selected when saved in Adobe Acrobat 8 would remain selected when the document was opened in Evince. Does this happen every time? Yes. I have tested it with this form as well as 3 of the IRS's other forms (Schedule A/B, Schedule C, Schedule D)."
The problem persists with poppler 0.8.1, although the detailed outcome changed a bit: Now, the (wrong) 5th option is shown as selected instead of the (also wrong) 1st one as reported by the OP with poppler 0.6.4...
Should be fixed in poppler 0.9.0
