Backtrace

The intel-batchbuffer branch of the xf86-video-intel driver segfaults when running the comppixwin500 xperf test (and possibly others, haven't looked into that yet). Attached is a backtrace and X log.

Comment 2 Ben Gamari 2008-04-21 10:35:45 UTC
The crash from the comppixwin500 test has always prevented X from restarting, requiring a reboot. I will attach a log of an xserver started after a crash.

It seems that also the -scroll500 test also causes a similar crash (failed to map pixmap in I830EXAPrepareAccess()) although it seems that X will start restart after -scroll500 crashes.

Comment 4 Gordon Jin 2008-06-28 21:45:12 UTC
It appears the development on intel-batchbuffer has stopped. Eric, shall we close this bug?
Comment 5 Eric Anholt 2008-06-30 11:28:23 UTC
Gordon, yes, none of our engineers will be spending any time on the intel-batchbuffer branch at this point, and we don't expect to ever merge the intel-batchbuffer branch.
Comment 6 Gordon Jin 2008-06-30 18:44:03 UTC
Eric, so shall we mark intel-batchbuffer bugs as wontfix? Could we even delete the branch since it's dead? I guess some people don't know the status and will be wasting time on that branch.
Comment 7 Michael Fu 2008-07-24 20:18:49 UTC
update bug status. mark as wontfix as this batch-buffer is dead...
