When I try to start Company of Heroes via Wine, X crashes with this backtrace: Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x65) [0x492c35] 1: /lib/libc.so.6 [0x7fd565af8100] 2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so(__glXDeassociateContext+0x2d) [0x7fd564d9342d] 3: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so(__glXContextDestroy+0xf) [0x7fd564d8fd8f] 4: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so [0x7fd564d92998] 5: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so(__glXFreeContext+0x6c) [0x7fd564d91e0c] 6: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so [0x7fd564d91e43] 7: /usr/bin/X(FreeResourceByType+0x112) [0x434d52] 8: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so [0x7fd564d8ea1e] 9: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libglx.so [0x7fd564d92000] 10: /usr/bin/X(Dispatch+0x2ca) [0x44aeaa] 11: /usr/bin/X(main+0x44a) [0x4327fa] 12: /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf4) [0x7fd565ae41c4] 13: /usr/bin/X(FontFileCompleteXLFD+0x271) [0x431c39] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. I don't think this is a driver specific problem.
Would it confirm that it's a driver bug if fglrx didn't crash? Then I might just test that.
I'm seeing the same crash attempting to run Team Fortress 2 or the Half-Life 2 demo on AMD64 WINE with the R200 driver. This is with xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.4.99.905-2.20080702.fc9.x86_64, xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-14.fc9.x86_64, mesa-dri-drivers-7.1-0.37.fc9.x86_64
Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
