I see this too, on Mesa 7.2, Radeon X1300 Pro, Xorg 7.4, and radeon 6.10.0 driver. This seems to be a bug in Mesa not in radeon/radeonhd.

The model does show when using software rendering.

This appears to be fixed since mesa 7.6 at least on my RV530. Can someone confirm it?
