I was updating my system (with the steps explained here:
http://dberkholz.wordpress.com/2008/07/01/xorg-74-prereleases-ready-to-test-in-gentoo/

Now I have the following problems:

google earth (native)
hangs on splash screen - the trick with the libGL.so.1 will not work anymore

google earth (via wine)
there is no earth

sauerbraten
after initialisation I have a black screen and to kill the game

I used strace in combination with googleearth and it seems that there is a problem with the fonts (infinite loop).
Wenn I comment out all my fontpaths in the file section (xorg.conf) googleearth starts fine.

I will look if the problem with sauerbraten can also solved with commenting out some configurations in my xorg.conf.

Try running sauerbraten with the -f0 option.

With this option I can start and play it.
But there are a few errors with the displaying of a few models of walls and ceilings (oh my english is bad - I know. Hope you are able to understand).
The status for r300 is GOLD - so nobody can reproduce this?
Should i post a screenshot?

Can you reproduce the bug with current mesa master?
