xorg.log

when trying to play videos using mplayer with arguments '-vo xv' i get nothing but a solid black window with audio.  if i resize the window i can see a video frame for a brief second but then it goes back to solid black.  videos play fine when compiz is not running.  videos also play fine when using '-vo x11'.

This works for me with EXA here, when using XAA I'm running into the situation that there isn't enough 2d framebuffer space to render the video to, this isn't the case for EXA. 
I don't see a driver problem here.
