Description Tormod Volden 2008-08-19 12:09:11 UTC
Originally reported in Ubuntu: "Funky blinking coloured lines horizontally on the screen. Appears at log in and on the desktop."

This was not a problem in Hardy (radeon 6.8.0), but came with Intrepid (radeon 6.9.0). Same with current git. I suspect it is a PLL issue. The logs are different:

Intrepid (bad):
freq: 69300000
best_freq: 69298571
best_feedback_div: 813
best_ref_div: 12
best_post_div: 14
(II) RADEON(0): crtc(0) Clock: mode 69300, PLL 69290
(II) RADEON(0): crtc(0) PLL : refdiv 12, fbdiv 0x32D(813), pdiv 14

Hardy (good):
freq: 69300000
best_freq: 69313613
best_feedback_div: 1152
best_ref_div: 14
best_post_div: 17
(II) RADEON(0): crtc(0) Clock: mode 69300, PLL 69310
(II) RADEON(0): crtc(0) PLL : refdiv 14, fbdiv 0x480(1152), pdiv 17
