The function 'cairo_has_show_text_glyphs' was removed during the 1.7 development in favour of the 'cairo_surface_has_show_text_glyphs', but the former function is still mentioned in the documentation and 'NEWS' file for the 1.8.0 release.

Either the two references in the documentation should be removed, or the function should be added back.

As of current git version, there are these references in the source:

NEWS:cairo_has_show_text_glyphs
src/cairo-surface.c: * namely cairo_has_show_text_glyphs().
src/cairo.c: * The cairo_has_show_text_glyphs() function can be used to query that.

Pushed the documentation corrections.

However, Carl, did you not want to remove both cairo_*_has_show_text_glyphs() before 1.8? Though perhaps that horse has already bolted...

Chris, we want cairo_surface_has_show_text_glyphs(), but not the cairo_t one.
