Description Fabio Pedretti 2008-10-17 08:44:21 UTC
I noticed that recently I get a screen corruption during X startup. While loading X the screen should be black, but I also get some strange horizontal mostly green lines extending from the left to the right, for about a second:

--------------------
|                  |
|==================|  <- green screen corruption
|==================|  <-
|                  |
|                  |
|                  |
--------------------

I did a git bisect and identified in commit 346228b20c69a965c9e7d67157f42c1d36a5b6c3 the appearing of the problem.

I have a MacBook Pro, RV530 and I am using Ubuntu 8.04 with its default xserver 1.4-based and manually compiled -ati from git.

Photograph of corruption during X start

I attached a photograph (sorry for the bad quality) of the corruption during X start, just before the appearing of gdm login screen.

I am using today's git -ati.
