Xdmx segfaults when initializing DMX screens. This is related to bug # 18086. However, in xorg-server 1.5.3 (X.Org 7.4), the dmx*PrivateKeyIndex are not defined. Attached are two patches to fix the segfault and get Xdmx running.

Created attachment 22897 [details] [review] add dmx*PrivateKeyIndex static ints / dixRequestPrivate
I'm not sure, but this looks like a dupe of bug 18086. Also wanted to point out that people do really use Xdmx and having it broken in xorg 1.5.x is sad. Same reports: http://bugs.gentoo.org/265544 http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2006-September/018156.html http://fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=200487 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461096
The patch shown in the last commit is already in git master, so this seems to be a request to backport to the 1.5 branch if any more 1.5.x releases are done. I've added it to the nomination list on http://www.x.org/wiki/Server15Branch but I don't know of anyone planning to release any more 1.5.x releases now that most have moved to 1.6.x.
