Description Carles Pagès 2009-03-07 00:13:16 UTC
I have a laptop with an intel gm965, and whenever I plug an external screen, if I try to use it with:
$ xrandr --output vga --auto
the external monitor only displays images after I reboot X, and afterwards I cannot change the resolution on any of them nor switch them off.
I'm using Gentoo with xorg-server-1.5.3, intel driver 2.6.3, mesa 7.3 and libdrm 2.4.5.

I upgraded to intel-2.7.0, with mesa-7.4.1 and libdrm 2.4.9, but still get the same behaviour.

Xorg.0.log

Uploaded latest Xorg log. I noticed a message stating Randr 1.2 enabled, even though I have 1.3 installed. Is this normal?
Comment 5 Carles Pagès 2009-10-10 03:34:53 UTC
I'm marking the bug as resolved since nobody seems to be having the same issue and it is now working for me with the last versions of the graphics packages.
