After upgrading to version 6.12.2, I've experienced that this driver scales the resolution incorrectly on my tv, which is connected through HDMI. I have through xrandr set the correct resolution for my tv (1360x768), it acts like it's to large, the desktop strectes beyond the borders of the tv. My xorg-server version is 1.6 and 1.6.1 and the driver version is 6.12.2, this doesn't occour with 6.12.1.
Please attach your xorg log and config. I suspect your TV automatically overscans the incoming image. There's probably a setting on your tv to disable the overscan.
Also were you were you using the same xserver for both 6.12.1 and 6.12.2?

Created attachment 24950 [details] [review] xorg log with 6.12.2 Sorry for this delay here is the log for the current release.
Created attachment 24951 [details] with 6.12.1
This bug still appears with version 6.12.2 and the 6.12 git branch and the master branch, please solve it...
You probably need to adjust this on your tv rather than in the driver.
kms now supports underscan automatically if you are not able to disable overscan on your tv.
