This problem also appeared in pidgin, so maybe it's the same problem (but I'm not sure): some avatars are not displayed in the contact list.

In pidgin the problem was that the new windows live messenger client changed something when sending avatars.

pidgin resolved it with this patch http://developer.pidgin.im/attachment/ticket/7180/fix-icons.diff

I think profile.py needs to be updated. But I cannot understand how. Help please?

fixed in papyon git. papyon will preplace pymsn
