Description Fabio Pedretti 2009-05-05 03:37:37 UTC
Testing the radeon-rewrite branch (compiled without libdrm-radeon and using standard Ubuntu kernel) under an Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit with a RV530 I get lockups with various applications:

progs/demos/clearspd: lockup (but mouse still jerkily moving)
progs/tests/random: complete lockup
piglit (don't remember which test): lockup
openarena 0.8.1 -> click on mission pack -> after a screen change it lockups (regression of radeon-rewrite, works fine on 7.4 and master)
googleearth 5 -> click on help -> information -> lockups (regression of radeon-rewrite, works fine on 7.4 and master)

Note: not all lockups are verified against latest git revision (but a few commits before).

Is this any better with recent checkout of mesa radeon-rewrite ?

As of current git (a13e96359baaa0331561f86ef6487feba6540464):
progs/tests/random lockups is fixed downgrading drm kernel module (see bug #21849)
I still have the googleearth lockup, didn't tried clearspd/openarena

All lockups are now fixed with current mesa master (with radeon-rewrite branch merged) and drm fix of bug #21849.

Mass version move, cvs -> git
