HW: Toshiba, AMD, RS690

Kernel 2.6.30-rc8, ubuntu gem ddx driver.

Everything is fine, except problem with flickering even in 2D which was fixed in ati master, but with this driver appear. I guess it was fixed in master with this commit: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=24e4b73b4fbbb2c790e6120ede3caaa4e7e58359

I disabled this code shortly after enabling it as it doesn't seem to work well on most chips.  I suspect this might actually be what fixed it:

at least from .31 it work correct (2D and even 3D).

KMS enabled, lastest DDX.
