Log of X crashing

I have seen X crash if I start epiphany-webkit, or if I try to change the references in monodevelop, the border of the window gets drawn, but when the app tries to paint the inside of the window, X crashes.

This doesn't happen with epiphany-gecko, gnome-console, skype, pidgin or almost any other app.

This is with the Debian/unstable version and noveau from git from yesterday. Might running git X help?

I have the same problem, with for instance rhythmbox, gnome's universal clock/calendar, or xchat.
I'm running debian testing, with the X and linux packages from unstable.
I use the latest git for xf86-nouveau, libdrm, as well as the latest master-compat modules.

Possible fix

> Might running git X help?

Yeah, AFAICT it shouldn't happen with that.

Does this patch for server-1.6-branch help?

Your possible fix seems to be the good one. I've rebuilt X with this patch, and it works perfectly, thanks!

Fix pushed to master and nominated on http://wiki.x.org/wiki/Server16Branch, thanks for testing.
