Since Sep 8th, clutter input events no longer work on an intel x4500 graphics card running git kernel/mesa/intel driver/drm. Input events work for the first couple hundred milliseconds of a program run, after that however they fail. Reverting to mesa from Sep 6th fixes the issue.

Can you identify the exact regression commit?

I had the same problem, and it got solved with this commit I think.
I experienced the problem with Gnome-Shell.
