When I used glxgears on KMS-enabled system on xorg-server from master the artifacts all around the screen has been shown, which wer not preset in 1.6 (also KMS-enabled).

Performance is about 15 FPS vs 10 FPS on 1.6 and 200 on git/1.6 KMS-less.

Card: ATI XPress 200M

Is this still an issue with a newer kernel or driver?

I don't know. I've changed computer about a year ago.
