Description Öyvind Saether 2009-10-13 17:32:23 UTC
I get massive corruptions on the screen with the latest GIT. This was not a problem a week ago (or so).

I am currently (ab)using 2.6.32-rc3-git3, KMS, dualhead (VGA/HDMI), X.Org X Server 1.7.0, x11-libs/libdrm-9999 x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-9999 media-libs/mesa-9999 (those build the git).

I will attach the screenshots.

I tested the exact same setup with 2.6.32-rc3-git1 and the problem went away. Evidence indicates KMS very bad in the 2.6.32-rc3-git3 kernel. Kernel changelog does not appear to have any radeon fixes between that version and sys-kernel/git-sources-2.6.32_rc4-r2, problem likely present in latest kernel. Will buy latest and test if problem still there.

Looks like a dup of bug 24430. Should be fixed in drm-next.
Comment 6 Öyvind Saether 2009-10-13 22:26:51 UTC
2.6.32-rc4-git2 has same bug, patching it with the 49c458e544ae14514209ed80ea6829ca1b18ddf0 reversion fixed it.
