hi all do you merge Prima Sans Mono fixes into Mono?
Comment 1 Ben Laenen 2009-12-10 03:30:17 UTC
Didn't you open that other bug already?

As mentioned in bug #25245: even if we'd want to merge changes from Prima (note that they're not "fixes", just design differences), we wouldn't be able to do it as their license doesn't allow it.

Do you create an image containing the design differences than Prima Sans Monospace and DejaVu Sans Mono?

Prima Sans Mono lacks box drawing and block elements signs, which means you can't use it as an terminal font.

DejaVu Sans Mono includes box drawing and block elements signs, which means you can use it as an terminal font.

We cannot, we don’t have Prima Sans.

You can use DejaVu Sans Mono for terminal.

In #25294 you said :
> Bitstream Vera Sans Mono...not good, because it has an half-serif lowercase L
> and a center dot zero.
> Prima Sans Mono Terminal...is good for a command line, because it has no dotted
> zero.

Are lowercase L and dotted zero a problem in DejaVu Sans Mono for you?
