Description Shlomi Fish 2009-12-23 09:10:40 UTC
xpdf with the spell.pdf file in the URL (using the xorg.conf file and my ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro card) is very slow on my Mandriva Cooker system. It takes it a lot of time to scroll and there are artefacts in the scroll-bar. Evince seems to work fine with the same PDF.

This PDF originated from this PS file after gunzipping and running ps2pdf:

http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~doug/spell.ps.gz

Furthermore, it seems that often when I scroll the viewport using Firefox I get text that's visibly out of place and needs to scroll further. I recall Inkscape being slow too, but cannot reproduce it. But the xpdf problem should be enough to start with.

You can find my xorg.conf at the URL, and I can attach/upload it or other files here or there.
