The majority of the pages do not display correctly; the white text on black background does not show up. The text is highlight-able, though.

You can see how the PDF should render if you have flash installed by viewing it on slideshare:

The PDF properties say it was created by Apple Keynote 4.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.4.11 Quartz PDFContext) and of format PDF-1.3

evince: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2

It works for me with poppler and cairo from git master.

Interestingly enough, I can no longer reproduce this issue after resuming from hibernation (the pdf was even open the whole time).
