gl-117 (1.3.1) causes gpu lockups on my rv250 with Mesa CVS head dri driver.
Happens both with hw and sw tcl. The game starts, and the intro plays fine.
Moving the cursor around causes an instant gpu lockup as soon as the cursor hits
a menu entry (i.e. the menu entry color would change from blue to yellow,
sometimes the menu entry changes the color before the lockup, sometimes not).

Some further testing shows this does not really cause a gpu lockup. It actually
segfaults, but behind a LOCK_HARDWARE, and is unable to recover from that.
This appears to be the same bug as #2516, since the crash happens within a
rasterization fallback (GL_SELECT render mode). Backtrace looks the same too
(using the same method to get a backtrace locally as there).

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

This has nothing to-do with gl-117.   
 
TNL build vertices bug.

Indeed.

This happens only with rasterization fallbacks. Thus I believe #2516 should
track this well enough.
