Setup working fine otherwise with KMS enabled kernel, DRI2, interrupts also I think, etc. But if I try to start X with NoAccel my machine freezes and I have to reset it. Empty log when I reboot. Latest drm-radeon-testing kernel as of today with KMS. radeon 1:6.12.99+git20100120.30a19b75-0 xserver 2:1.6.5+git20091107+server-1.6-b
Are you sure the machine freezes and it's not just something like an X server crash leaving you unable to interact with the console? Have you tried logging in remotely or at least pinging the machine?
Created attachment 32807 [details] [review] handle no accel option with kms Looks like the no accel option wasn't handled properly under KMS. Does this patch fix the issue?
Michel: no idea :-) Alex: yes it does! Now on to the next bug!
