Description Eric 2010-02-11 11:37:32 UTC
Poppler uses a lot of memory to open a pdf file and makes the computer unusable (using evince or epdfview frontend). The problematic pdf is here : http://beliweb.net:8080/~eric/vague_sans_caveoles_fr.pdf.

I am using default ubuntu installation.

The pdf is made with Inkscape 0.47.

I confirm the cairo test program wants to take more than 2gb of memory and then my computer starts to die, the qt4 test program takes 5mb of memory.
Comment 2 Adrian Johnson 2014-11-01 05:57:05 UTC
pdftocairo uses 1.6GB of memory to render the pdf. After applying the patch in
bug 33364 it uses 26MB.
