xorg log

See Summary, in particular the monitor displays junk, both Xorg and the TTYs are either blank or displaying unchanging garbage. I'm still able to ssh into the machine.

This bug does not manifest when using the UMS driver.

I have not verified this bug effects suspend to ram and resume with methods other than wake on lan, or that it effects "late start KMS". I was using an initial ramdisk that began KMS when I experianced this bug.

I'm using Arch linux, below are package verious the "-x" is distro local package version.

kernel:
Linux calculon 2.6.32-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Feb 9 15:12:10 CET 2010 x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

local/xf86-video-ati 6.12.4-3 (xorg-video-drivers)
    X.org ati video driver

Hardware:
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon HD 3300 Graphics
00:00.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] RS780 Host Bridge
(this is on a TA790GX 128M Boistar Motherboard.)

xf86-video-ati 6.12.x does not support KMS. You need xf86-video-ati from git master for KMS support. Also your log is from UMS. You are to running the UMS driver when KMS has already loaded so you have a conflict there. Either upgrade your ddx (xf86-video-ati), or disable KMS.
