Muc channels should implement the GroupFlags property and friend to allow tp-glib's client code to retrieve them in a more efficent way.

Hum I wrongly understood this error:
(empathy:16609): tp-glib/groups-DEBUG: tp_channel_got_group_properties_cb: Got group properties, but no Properties flag: assuming a broken implementation and falling back to 0.16 API

These properties *are* implemented but Salut don't claim they are as 
TP_CHANNEL_GROUP_FLAG_PROPERTIES is not set.
