Description Stefan Treuheit 2010-03-31 01:05:25 UTC
After boot I get a nice 1920x1080 console that seems to work well.
If I try to start the X server the server crashes (I get strange color pattern on
the screen). Switching to a VT doesn't work (the VT keeps blank with the curser on top left). Something similar happens if I try to start an application that uses the FB device. I can stop the system if I login blind into an VT an run halt.
I`m using an onboard Gforce8200 on a GA-M85M-US2H motherboard. Kernel module nouveau driver and libdrm were downloaded on 29. ot March using git.

Maybe it would have more chances of working if you actually used nouveau :)

Read again http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/InstallNouveau to see how to create a minimal xorg.conf

I'm sorry for that stupid mistake. nouveau with xorg works fine now.
