I assume  dummyDev is not properly initialized - thus IsMaster() function which is access  dev->type is reading some uninitialized var from stack in XISendDeviceHierarchyEvent().

Should be probably easily fixed by adding line:

dummyDev.type = 0; (or something else ??)
