I've had 4 potential users turned away because they don't know what to do with a torrent file (or associated torrents with pirating).

You *can* find a regular mirror but it is buried under "info" (non-intuitive).

While I'm sure there are good technical reasons to use torrents (to spread the load) you should be aware that a segment of your potential users are being turned off by the *only* choice being presented to them to obtain the software is a torrent.

I don't know what URL you're talking about; freedesktop.org itself doesn't host any .torrent files to the best of my knowledge.

If the problem is with downloading libreoffice then I believe they run their own download infrastructure and you will have to get in touch with them about this.
