Description Jan Schmidt 2006-06-03 04:40:35 UTC
While playing quake3, I'm seeing frequent random pauses of around 2-3 seconds.
These happen on intervals on the order of every 30 seconds to a few minutes, and
sometimes the pauses last up to 30 seconds.

During the pauses, the sound is looping over small segment, and the rendering is
completely frozen. Eventually, control returns, and the rendering jumps ahead to
where it should be - usually to show me lying dead :)

I'm filing the bug because I'm really not sure how to start identifying exactly
what the culprit is. Certainly none of the other players (mostly on different
ATI hardware) are seeing the same problem.

I'm using Xorg 7.0.0, with ati driver 6.5.8, libgl1-mesa-dri 6.4.1-0ubuntu8 on a
 2.6.15-23-686 kernel

I'm long past being able to reproduce this bug since the hardware died, so closing...
