(In reply to comment #1) > Check for a BIOS upgrade for your machine. rhere is no bios upgrade for my laptop. this issue whas discovered only with xorg-x11 7.1 , when i use xorg-x11 7.0 when i was downgrade my software to xorg-x11 7.0 dpms works fine and lcd blacklight turns off - my friends on another laptops from diferend producers have same problem... so maybe this is a bug in new i810 driver

Nothing has changed in the driver with regard to DPMS for quite some time. Can you upload a log file ?
