Hi, I'm using the latest git of the Xorg Ati/Radeon Drivers with an Ati Mobility Radeon 9700 (RV350) running on Xorg 7.1.1 with Mesa 6.5.1 (ubuntu cvs revision) and libdrm/drm kernel modules 2.3. Many things work fine, some not (but I'll place other bugs for these :)) btw only using this git version (no problems with stable 6.6.2 and 6.6.3 versions), if I put in the Device section of my Xorg.conf file the option Option "DynamicClocks" "on" I get many screen gtlitches... I can't take screenshots or photos, btw there are some screen lines, and I can't read nothing... The Xorg log dosn't report anything of strage related to it (simply it says that I've enabled Dynamic clocks). Anyway in this bug report (the first I make for this driver) I want thank all the devs working on it becouse you made really great work... Actually Xorg radeon driver + AiGLX + Beryl works better than Xgl + fglrx + Beryl!!! Bye!

I've found that I get this also if I run a secondary X server using the "DynamicClocks" options to "on", and now glitches applies to all X servers running (also those ran before applying this setting). To fix this, I should run another server with that option to "off"... I had made some photos to show better the bug, but I've only a cell phone here and the result is really poor, so if anyone has this problem, please integrate this bug!

Created attachment 10666 [details] Xorg log file with DynamicClocks enabled (runninng on second Display) Here you are my Xorg.log file using Dynamic Clocks, DRI is disabled there, since I've ran another Xorg in DISPLAY :2 and doing this (as said on previous comments) also my main screen got these glitches... Then I reloaded this second screen disabling DynamicClocks and all my X servers worked well again...

Does it also happen if you comment out all other driver options? If yes, what if you add Option "ColorTiling" "off"?

Can you try isolating the change that caused it with git-bisect?

if this happens with a bare xorg.conf I'd be interested you are turning a lot of options that we don't have on by default for good reason.

punting from 6.7, unless the reporter can bisect this down, I can't reproduce it at this stage. Please try again with 6.7.191.
