The current nl layout contains a mistake: the AC11 key should have dead_acute and dead_grave on first and second level, instead of on third and fourth. The first patch fixes this. It also removes a doubled up rightbrace, replacing it with the fourth level character, and adds a blank line for clarity. The second patch adds a complete official Dutch layout without filling up the empty places on third and fourth level. This layout was found at http://www.xs4all.nl/~koospol/public/Xmodmap-nl-deadkeys.gz and was double-checked with: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/nl/f/f5/NL_toetsenbord5.JPG http://www.language-keyboard.com/languages/dutch_layout.htm

Created attachment 8353 [details] [review] adds a clean official Dutch layout
Created attachment 8370 [details] [review] corrects dead_acute and dead_grave, and adds square brackets To make the layout a little more useful, the new patch, besides correcting the two dead accents, adds square brackets on the parenthesis keys, as the key that normally contains the brackets is not available on most keyboards. The removed plusminus is already available on AC10, and the removed degree on AE12.
Benno, thanks, I'll try to commit both patches ASAP (hopefully today or in the next couple of days)
Committed, changed to nl(std)

Out of curiosity: when will the improved keyboard layouts be released? (I had expected to see them already in Feisty, but they're not there.)
Once I decide to release xkeyboard-config:) Hopefully within the summer time.
