These two files seem to have originated from GPL code, but there is no indication that they are available under the MIT/X11 license. xorg-server-1.1.1/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/lnx_io.c xorg-server-1.1.1/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/lnx_kbd.c There is a comment in these files: /* kbd rate stuff based on kbdrate.c from Rik Faith <faith@cs.unc.edu> et.al. * from util-linux-2.9t package */ The file kbdrate.c in package util-linux-2.9 is under the GPL.
lnx_io.c is no longer shipped; only lnx_kbd.c, which has been moved to the kbd driver.

Do we really want GPL code in the xorg source tree? Maybe not a problem for Linux, but the sco and usl kbd files indicate they are based on lnx_kbd.c. Are those files infected with GPL? There may be others...
