Description Vitaly Minko 2010-10-13 06:42:26 UTC
Original bugs:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=631676
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=629261

Need to provide more descriptive error message when nickname does not match the server rules. Just "Network error" is not acceptable.

I think the solution to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/35239 covers this issue. We are trying to emit the ConnectionError (http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/spec/Connection.html#Signal:ConnectionError) signal and the message from the server will be in the 'server-message' key.
