Description mibof 2011-03-16 14:52:02 UTC
Hello,

When we start "LibreOffice 3.3", we can choose to create a new document or to open an existing one.

1. The choice among "text document", "spreadsheet", ect. is not explicitly associated to any action. Beginners i meet don't understand the purpose of this choice.

2. Beginners i meet don't make or remember the difference between "create a document" and "open a document".

I propose these solutions :

1. Before the choice, add a sentence "Create a new document :"

2. Instead of "Open...", write "Open an existing document..."

Thanks

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
