Description Vladimir Rutsky 2011-06-07 23:09:03 UTC
To reproduce please follow these steps:
1. Create new document in Writer
2. Enter two lines of text, like:

first line
second line

3. Select all text, right click with mouse -> Edit Paragraph Style -> Position tab -> Rotation / Scaling set to 90 degrees -> Ok

Observed behavior:
Text drawed vertically in single line "second linefirst line" (without spaces between lines texts and backwardly ordered).

Expected behavior:
Text drawed vertically in two lines.

You have to insert a line break (Shift+Enter) not a paragraph break (Enter). Rotation is a characters attribute.
Not a bug for me, maybe an enhancement.

This works, thanks!

My original problem is with importing Word documents with multiline vertical text, so I'm closing this bug report and opening new: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38066

RC2 is bit by bit identical with release version, so separate items in the version picker are useless. Changes have been discussed with Michael Meeks.
