Failed to reproduce on LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:103) on OpenSuse Linux. Background is the same size in .ppt and .odp files.

reproduced in LibO 3.5.0 beta 2 on Fedora 64 bit -if save as ppt and then File->Relaod, background becomes small picture in right bottom corner -if save as pptx and reload, background disappears
