Description dave.mueller 2011-08-24 06:49:36 UTC
Currently, only "Color" and "Graphic" are allowed as possible table background options. It would be nice, and would also increase compatibility with MS Word, if "Hatching" would be supported too.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

in 3.6.2 not implemented yet. Reopening

Seems like a good request (although I've never once used this feature in MS Word) ;)

Marking as:
New
Normal (can prevent high quality work under certain circumstances, I changed this from Enhancement as it becomes a problem when importing a .doc or .docx that has this formatting)
Low (not affecting many people as far as I know)

Thanks for reporting

Hatching in the table cells : highly desirable, as well as mosaics points.
Comment 9 Joel Madero 2013-09-08 20:01:28 UTC
Patches more than welcome. This is an enhancement -- I accidentally moved it out of this category but it is one. In general enhancements take a much lower priority than real bugs -- like bugs that result in loss of data or crashes.

But feel free to dig into the code and try to implement this.
