Example picture of the double shadow

Bug in LibreOffice Draw

Under some circumstances a double shadow is drawn, like you can see in the attached pictuture shadow-example.

Steps for reproduction:
* create a rectangle with the basic shapes menu
* open the styles and formatting menu (F11)
* modify default style
* select shadowing tab and check use shadow

You can also create a new style, which base on the default one.

The expacted behavior is that you can see a simple shadow below the rectangle. Another weird behavior is, when you disable the shadow over the format->area menu you get a simple shadow. Although no shadow should be visible, now.

This bug is not triggered, when you add the shadow over the format->area menu, or when you use another shape.

Also this bug did not occure with version 3.4.3. I can only reproduce it with 3.4.4 (both are release version, on windows and Linux)

[Reproducible] with Parallel Dev-Installation of  "LibreOffice 3.5.0 Beta2- WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [Build-ID : 8589e48-760cc4d-f39cf3d-1b2857e-60db978]

Also Reproducible with WIN7 3.4.1RC and 3.4.2RC, what seems to be not in accordance with reporter's observations.

Currently I have no 3.3 Build available, but the problem also is visible with OOo 3.1.1 SHAPES (not Rectangle), so I believe problem is inherited from OOo.

@borim7@web.de:
Please check your result with 3.4.3!

I have checked again with version 3.4.3 and the bug exist there, too.
Sorry for the misinformation.

Hi Matthias,

is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/ ?

Could you please attach the document in question? That would help speed up the process of confirming and successively fixing this bug a lot. Thanks :)

The "Object with shadow" style is also affected. Conversely right-clicking an object with no shadow > Area... > Shadow tab > check "Use shadow" results in only a single (expected) shadow.

I can confirm this under Crunchbang 11 x86_64 running v4.1.3.2 only same two shapes are affected. Would seem to be a non-XML problem as the definitions for circles appears identical in the XML in terms of the shadow elements / attributes.

Informations requested in comment #4 have been provided, so set status back to NEW.

Reproducible for me with version 4.2.0.0.beta1+ under Ubuntu 13.10 x86-64

Best regards. JBF
