First, when using hanging punctuation with the Linux Libertine G and Linux Biolinum G font family, animated text has hanging punctuation but the hanging fragment of the sign is cut along the margin of the text frame. As a result, it will not appear when e. g. it is fading to appear. You can only see the fragment inside the textbox. Second, hanging punctuation should be turned off somehow for bullets and numbering. E. g. in case of numbering followed by a period the space inserted after the period is "swallowed".
Thanks for bugreport Please, attach odp document that demonstrates this problem. And screenshot of problem if possible

Bug can be reproduced as follows: 1. Open an empty presentation. 2. Type in some text beginning and ending with a quote or ending with colon, semicolon, period, hyphen, etc. 3. Add any kind of animation (I tried Checkerboard and Fade In) 4. Press F5, launch the animation (by pressing SPACE for instance). Result: hanged characters at the start/end of the line are only partially visible. Bug can be reproduced only in full screen slideshow, playing the animation in editing mode will not lead to this result. Behavior expected: the text should be animated and fully visible. Error reproduced on LibreOffice 4.0.3.3
Thanks for additional information. Sorry, I still can not reproduce problem. Please, provide following information: - name of OS and distro - name of video card and video driver - it is reproducible with any font or only with specific font? - it is reproducible with any settings of hardware acceleration and anti-aliasing? (Tools->Options->LibreOffice->View) Please, attach produced odp document. It will help in case I do something wrong.
I forgot to mention a crucial detail: before applying the animation, apply the following formatting to the text: in the font name box enter: Linux Libertine G:hang=1 or Linux Biolinum G:hang=1 Now you should be able to reproduce the bug. If hanging punctuation is not activated as shown above, you will not catch the bug. Here are the details requested: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 VGA: R5450-MD1GH (ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB), driver: 9.12.0.0 (by AMD) The bug was reproduced on an other machine, too: Asus K53SC-SX140D running Windows 7 Home Premium having onboard an dedicated video cards such as Intel HD Graphics 3000 respectively NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX with the latest drivers.
