Can not not open Vision diagrams VDS or VDX, tried both, get file open error.
Tried both on Windows, Portable version and Mac OSX all version failed with same error.

libvisio doesn't support VDX.
libvisio supports ver6 and ver11 of VSD format (Visio2k to 2010).
Check what version of VSD file you have and attach to the bug if it's 6 or 11.

How to find a version in VSD file w/o Visio.

1. Open it in "oletoy" (https://gitorious.org/re-lab), go to the 'VisioDocument'->'Header'. Version would be shown on the top right panel.

2. Open VSD file in any hexviewer.
Find "Visio (TM) Drawing" text [56 69 73 69 6F 20 28 54 4D 29 20 44 72 61 77 69
6E 67], skip "0D 0A" and next 6 bytes. Next byte would be "0B" for version 11, "06" for version 6 and so on.

Since reporter did not add any information and since the Visio import works for thousands of people out there, closing as WORKSFORME. If there is a new developement, feel free to reopen with relevant information.
