Created attachment 58271 [details] Formatting text sample In cell A1 I typed in text: ABCDEF. Now I would like to have a formatting of this text like: AB-CD-EF (so minus sings every two letters). I have tried searching formatting in Format | Cells but no formatting for text is found. For example for numbers is very simple format just use Format | Cells | Numbers tab | Format code input box type in: ##-##-##. Please add support for formatting text the same way as numbers?
Thanks for new idea Use Edit->Find&Replace, set there option "Regular expression" in Search for: ([A-Z]{2})([A-Z]{2})([A-Z]{2}) in Replace with: $1-$2-$3 Then press "Replace all" And this will format text cells as needed.
